A high-level delegation led by Lieutenant General Asrat Denero, Commander-in-Chief of the Addis Ababa Police Commission, has toured ongoing municipal development projects on the second day of an official visit to Bahir Dar.

During the visit, the President of the Amhara Regional State, Arega Kebede, alongside senior regional officials, presented commemorative gifts to Lieutenant General Denero and members of his delegation.

In his address, the Regional President emphasised that partnership between the two police commissions extends beyond maintaining public peace and security, serving as an important platform for exchanging best practices in development.

“Inter-institutional coordination and strong cooperation are vital to securing sustainable peace and stability across the region and the country as a whole,” Arega Kebede stated.

He further noted that bilateral relations between the Addis Ababa Police Commission and the Amhara Regional Police Commission play a significant role in intelligence sharing and professional exchange. Maintaining and reinforcing these fraternal and institutional ties, he added, is critical to ensuring robust public safety.

The visit by senior Addis Ababa police leadership is expected to deepen technological and operational integration between the two forces, laying a firm foundation for future joint law enforcement operations.
