Addis Ababa (AMECO)- The upcoming 21st Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day will serve as a milestone to demonstrate practical state-building and cross-community unity, according to Agegnehu Teshager, Speaker of Ethiopia’s House of Federation.
Opening a high-level planning consultative meeting organised by the House of Federation in Addis Ababa, Agegnehu stated that the annual event has consistently strengthened multinational cohesion across the country.
The Speaker emphasized that this year’s commemoration holds particular historical weight, coming in the wake of the seventh national election, the formation of a new government, and broad-based national dialogue sessions.
The Speaker pointed to recent institutional initiatives aimed at establishing a democratic culture of resolving complex political issues through structured debate, citing a national dialogue forum that brought together 4,000 delegates to address foundational national agendas.
