Addis Ababa, November 4, 2026 – Ethiopia will host the second African Political Parties Summit from November 5 to 7 at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa, bringing together about 1,000 political leaders and representatives from across Africa and beyond.

Prosperity Party Foreign Relations Director Nebiyu Seul announced the details at a media briefing today. The summit will run under the theme “Growing for Growth: Political Parties as Architects of Political Development.” It aims to promote peaceful political environments and encourage parties to drive economic transformation across the continent.

The program opens on November 5 with a Women and Youth Pre-Summit, followed by the official opening and main sessions.
Nebiyu said the Prosperity Party’s experience in Ethiopia’s development and political transformation will give participating parties an opportunity for engagement and experience-sharing.

The event follows the inaugural summit in Accra, Ghana. It began as a Ghanaian initiative before growing into a continental platform for political dialogue and experience-sharing.

The summit is also expected to boost conference tourism and strengthen Addis Ababa’s standing as a destination for major international gatherings.
