Special attention is given to strengthen the people-to-people relation between Ethio-Djiboutian – President Sahle-Work Zewde
Bahir Dar, July 7, 2023 (AMECO) President of Ethiopia Sahle-Work Zewde hosted a dinner reception in honour of the visiting Djiboutian Public Diplomacy Delegation.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President said, the longstanding Ethio-Djiboutian diplomatic relation is exemplary. She said that special attention is given to the strong people-to-people relations between the two countries, even prior to the inception of public diplomacy.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen also echoed the fact that the visit of the PD delegation will further enhance the strategic cooperation between the contiguous neighbours.
The head of the PD delegation and Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior of Djibouti, H.E. Siraj Omar Abdulkader said, we need to work closely to capitalise people-to-people ties to boost trade.
