Russia’s contributions for the establishment of Bahir Dar University has been recognized.
Bahir Dar, June 11, 2023 (AMECO) The government of Russia has contributed for the establishment of Bahir Dar University and has been supporting the development of modern education in Ethiopia.
During the reign of His Majesty Haile Selassie, the former Soviet Union/Russia, greatly supported the construction of a higher education institution in the country.
The Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Mr. Evgeny Terekhin received the university’s recognition to Russia.
Bahir Dar University has celebrated its 60th year anniversary.
