Ethiopia, Russia media and communication ties
Bahir Dar, July 28, 2023 (AMECO) – Ethiopia and Russia should have a media and communication tandem that appropriately conveys their long-standing historical, cultural, and diplomatic ties, according to Selamawit Kasa, State Minister of Government Communication Services.
The State Minister, who is currently attending the Africa-Russia Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia, met with Bela Cherkesova, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media.
During their talk, they emphasized that Russia’s leading mass media could perform capacity development efforts to help Africans elevate their worldwide media avenues.
The Deputy Minister also indicated that Russia is interested in providing training and education opportunities for Ethiopian media and communication professionals.
