Ethiopia’s flower exports hit 567 mln USD in the last FY
Bahir Dar, July 27, 2023 (AMECO) Ethiopia has secured over 567 million USD exporting cut flowers during the just concluded fiscal year, Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) disclosed.
Speaking to the Ethiopian Press Agency (EPA), MoA’s Flower Development Desk Head Eshetu Abraham stated that the country has exported 112,985.7 tons of flowers, and secured over 567.7 million USD during reported period.
Mentioning a remarkable performance the nation achieved so far, he said that the income generated this year has exceeded by 146.3 million Birr compared to last year’s same period performance.
It is to be recalled that the nation secured 421.4 million USD by exporting 110,290 tons of flowers in 2022.
