Bahir Dar, July 26, 2023 (AMECO) Chief of Amhara regional state, Yilkal Kefale (PhD) conferred with the World Food Program representative of Ethiopia, Chris Nickol.
The activities carried out by the World Food Organization and the future activities have been discussed.
Yilkal during the discussion, extended his gratitude to the World Food Program for providing humanitarian support to citizens in the region. He affirmed that the regional government will continue to create a favorable environment for humanitarian organizations to operate in the region.
According to the Office of the President of the Amhara region, Yilkal called on other humanitarian organizations to provide support for those who have been in need of sustainance.
The World Food Program Representative and Country Director Chris Nickol on his part said his organization will continue its support for citizens in need in the Amhara region. The Director also affirmed that the efforts to reach the needy will be strengthened.
