{"id":639,"date":"2023-06-16T09:30:38","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T09:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ameco.et\/english\/?p=639"},"modified":"2023-06-16T09:30:38","modified_gmt":"2023-06-16T09:30:38","slug":"borena-sayint-worehimeno-national-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ameco.et\/english\/borena-sayint-worehimeno-national-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Borena-Sayint Worehimeno National Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"LTR\">Borena-Sayint Worehimeno National Park<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"LTR\">Bahir Dar, June 16, 2023 (AMECO) Borena-Sayint Worehimeno National Park is found in Amhara regional state of Ethiopia, about 600km from Addis Ababa through Debre Birhan, 300km from Bahir-Dar through Merto Lemariam and 200km south west of Dessie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"LTR\">The park total area covered 15262 hectares of land. The park has some amazing peaks such as Kabu Kora, Mossebit, Galokab, Shiftoch Kora, Gulas, Kerkeha Ras; which is covered by trees peaks also serve as a natural watching tower for tourists. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"LTR\">The park is classified within three belts of weather, temperate, cool zone and alpine. The park is a natural habitat for large mammals and endemic birds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"LTR\">The incredible vegetation resources of the park are <\/span><span dir=\"LTR\">main ecotourism resources. There are around 66 families of vegetation species, consisting of 174 species of plants which are higher species diversity in comparison to other Afromontane forests of Ethiopia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"LTR\">Gaint lobelia (Jibera), Bidens pachyloma (Adey-Abeba), Plectocephalus, Euphorbia dumalis, Acanthus sennii (Shekori), Solanaceous gigas (Yeshikoko Gomen), Echinops<\/span> <span dir=\"LTR\">longisetus and Echinops (kebericho) are endemic to the park. <\/span><span dir=\"LTR\">Both the Afromontane forest and the upper part of the park have a very attractive view for the tourists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span dir=\"LTR\">Borena-Sayint Worehimeno National Park, apart from its marvelous scenery and diversified flora, it is the home of different mammals, amphibians, and birds.
