Speaking at a commercial forum in Addis Ababa ,Arthayudh Srisamoot, adviser to the Thai foreign minister, said Bangkok was committed to turning commercial potential into practical business partnerships across the Horn of Africa.”We are very serious in doing business with Africa, with Ethiopia,” Srisamoot told delegates, emphasizing the need to build a firm foundation for long-term economic and developmental relations.<\/strong><\/p>\n
The planned reopening of the resident embassy in the Ethiopian capital marks a major diplomatic step. Thailand previously operated an embassy in Addis Ababa from 1964 until its closure in 1981 due to budgetary and geopolitical considerations.
