Addis Ababa<\/b>, (AMECO)\u2014 As the Ethiopian National Dialogue Conference enters its second week of deliberations at the Addis International Convention Center, Commissioner Yonas Adaye has praised the event\u2019s progress, highlighting active delegate engagement and reaffirming the commission\u2019s open-door policy.<\/p>\n
Speaking exclusively to Amhara Media Corporation on the sidelines of the conference, Yonas described the dialogue as a historic undertaking and a major opportunity for the country. He expressed satisfaction with the proceedings so far, arguing that the discussions are laying a solid foundation for national consensus and sustainable peace.<\/p>\n
\u2018The dialogue represents a homegrown path\u2014an example of African solutions to African problems,\u2019 Yonas said.<\/p>\n
He highlighted the initiative as a promising mechanism to address Ethiopia\u2019s deep-rooted conflicts and longstanding grievances, paving the way for inclusive governance and lasting development.<\/p>\n
Addressing political groups and individuals who remain on the sidelines, Yonas stressed that the commission is still open to accommodating anyone interested in joining the process, even at this stage.<\/p>\n
He urged the public to remain optimistic and called on all Ethiopians\u2014including parties that have previously opted out\u2014to participate in the effort. The conference is scheduled to continue over the coming weeks as delegates work to find common ground on critical issues shaping the country\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
