PM Abiy Ahmed meets with Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin on sidelines of Russia-Africa summit<\/p>\n
Bahir Dar, July 26, 2023 (AMECO) The meeting between PM Abiy Ahmed and Vladimir Putin opens a series of contacts between the Russian leader and the heads of delegations to the forum and the Russia-Africa summit.<\/p>\n
The two sides met in St. Petersburg at the Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelna.<\/p>\n
The Russian president is expected to hold separate meetings with each of the African leaders arriving in St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n
PM Abiy Ahmed formerly met President Putin during the first Russia-Africa summit in Sochi in 2019.<\/p>\n
According to TASS NEWS AGENCY the second Russia-Africa Summit and Economic Forum is scheduled to be held in St. Petersburg on July 27-28. The event will be held under the motto “For Peace, Security and Development”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
