The African Human Capital Heads of State Summit gets underway.
Bahir Dar, July 25 2023 (AMECO) – Today marks the opening of the Africa Human Capital Heads of State Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Summit’s overarching topic is linking investments in human capital to economic growth and harnessing the demographic dividend, by addressing learning poverty and the skills gap for youth and women.
Ethiopia is sending a high-level delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Demeke Mekonen, to the summit. The meeting drew almost 1,200 participants from 30 countries, including African leaders.
The conference will address the importance of human capital development to economic growth and citizen-oriented investment.
It has been said that the conference will discuss the experience of Human Capital Development operations in African countries and thoughts connected to new concepts in the field will be exchanged. The summit will extend till tomorrow, according to reports.
