Ethiopia’s government started supplying foodstuffs to those in need.
Bahir Dar, July 25 2023 (AMECO) – According to the National Disaster Risk Management Commission, Ethiopia’s government has begun providing food relief to individuals in need all around the country.
Transportation of nutritious food to diverse localities has commenced from eight locations, including the Adama relief coordination center.
Tewodros Demsey, director of the National Disaster Risk Management Commission’s Directorate of Logistics Operations, stated that several partner organizations have withdrawn their support in the last three months, claiming that humanitarian aid was being misused.
He stated that around 115 thousand quintals of wheat, corn, bread, and corn flour, as well as nutritional food for mothers and children, are being distributed.
