Ethiopia Signs a €21Million Agreement with Germany
Bahir Dar, June 30, 2023 (AMECO) The €21Million Agreement by Ethiopia and Germany is to increase Ethiopia’s equity contribution to African Trade Insurance (ATI).
The total finance envelope of project is equivalent with ETB1.25 Billion. According to the Ministry of Finance the grant is an integral part of the German government’s support to Ethiopia’s strategy to become a middle-income country by 2030 and its transition to a private-sector-driven economy.
African Trade Insurance (“ATI”) is a pan-African insurance agency, based in Nairobi, Kenya. lt was established in 2001 by Seven African countries with technical and financial support from the WB and AfDB.
