Ethiopia designated as an African case in point for sustaining aviation safety

Bahir Dar, July 20 2023 (AMECO) – The general flight safety assessment undertaken by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) confirmed that Ethiopia’s efforts in the field of aviation security meet international standards.

The National Intelligence and Security Service’s Department of Civil Aviation Security has contributed to the enhancement of international aviation security via numerous reform-related endeavors undertaken at Bole International Airport in every segment.

The American Transportation Security Administration conducted a special audit and inspection of aviation security at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport from July 19 to July 20, 2023.

The international airport’s special audit and inspection work revealed that the airport achieved exceptional performance with no security breaches detected.

Asrat Kejela, Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Service’s Civil Aviation Security Department, stated that the results obtained in the aviation security sector not only elevate Ethiopian Airlines’ competitive edge and preference but also create additional drive in the future.
